This saltwater lantern is very easy to operate and designed for quick emergency use. First, open the top or front compartment according to the lamp’s structure, and take out the metal electrode plate if it is stored separately. Insert the plate into the designated slot, making sure the contact side faces the connectors inside the lantern so the power system can work properly.
Next, prepare a simple saltwater solution. You can mix normal table salt with tap water, river water, rainwater, or even seawater, then pour the solution into the lamp up to the marked water level line. If you are using dry salt inside the lamp, fill with water and gently shake the lantern so the salt can dissolve evenly.
After sealing the cap or zipper, wait a minute or two to let the saltwater fully activate the internal metal–air cell. Then press the power button to turn on the LED light. Many saltwater lanterns have multiple modes: one press for bright white light, another press for low light, and another for SOS flashing. Press again to turn it off when you do not need it, and simply refresh the saltwater when brightness starts to drop
